We all know that the economy is not doing well at all and that there are many out there trying to jump start it back to life, I am amazed that there are so many out there looking to make money doing nothing. I know that there are those online marketers that promote anything in any manner possible to make a sell, but what really is interesting is that there are those that buy into this non-sense.

Developing an online income can be fantastic and building your online business to a point where you can walk away from the typical rat race and all of the problems that go with it is great, but you will never get there by doing nothing. People that are looking for a way to make money doing nothing are not living in the world of reality. This is obvious to most, but apparently there are still some out there, motivated by greed of course, that sell this idea and many that buy into it.

The Internet can be a great place to start developing a business and start heading in the right direction to achieve some positive financial results, but like any business, online or offline, there are specific rules and laws that govern your ability to succeed and just like the “real” world, you need to learn what these rules are and develop your online marketing skill set. You will need to learn how the Internet works. This includes learning about search engine optimization and effective marketing.

The best news about working online is that things seem to happen a little faster here than in the offline world. This means that you can see results from your efforts very quickly. This is beneficial for many reasons, but mainly it allows you to see results of your marketing campaigns very fast and allows you to be able to change your tactics when things aren’t going right, or add to them when they are.

There are plenty of reasons for a person to make the decision to start an online business, but thinking that you can make money doing nothing is never going to work. If you don’t think you can put forth the effort that doing anything worthwhile takes, then I would suggest you not start anything here at all. You could always make a cardboard sign and stand on the corner…that’s about as close as you may get, but then again, those folks are doing something.
